    Superman

    I don't know how
    to this. I guess
    that's why i'm writing
    it down.

    You stand there, so
    calm and collected. I
    stare back just the same.

    Inside, my heart
    shatters, but it doesn't
    show. I don't wince,
    or cry or frown.

    I wish I could
    hear what you really
    think. So wild and
    reckless, you make
    a tiger seem tame.

    I love you, I miss
    you, my super hero,
    my superman.

It seems like you got your heart hurt. The poem seems very sad because know one wants to be hurt.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
