    twilight

    come lay with me
    and be mine
atop silkened threads of cotton refined

    in slumber's peace
    dream with me
    of sunny skies and butterflies

    in silence dwell
    under sleep's sweet spell
    until we awaken renewed
    ready to greet another day

another precious bit ... the closeness of night, sustaining us through days that may or may not be filled with butterflies, lol ... funny, i started a piece this week on "twilight" tho our approaches are so different it might be a different word, lol ... thx for posting! -dh
