    True Love Does

She looks at me with a soft gentle smile,
She would do anything for me, going the extra mile,
She is a wonderful friend, one of a kind,
She does things for me and says she don’t mind,

I see the longing in her face,
Looking in my heart to find a place,
Where she knows I will keep her,
    Throughout all time and space.

    Tomorrow, yesterday and today,
    She still loves me anyway,
No matter what I do or say,
She just doesn’t get it that I’m gay.

I’ve said it once; I have said it twice,
Her thoughts of love for me is really nice,
She keeps the hope, year after year,
But soft, tender and wonderful woman, I’m queer.

Markus, so much stark realism, its a sad but deep friendship.

She sounds like a true friend... you stopped looking and she came... maybe you aren't as gay as you think you are... or maybe she is too trying to find her answers through you...hmmmmmmm..... nice poem

Great Mark, the point is driven home by the constant rhyme scheme... I can almost see the mannerism you convey... great work...
