Travailed

To see you evryday, was something i took for granted. when I was young!
Your life life of work outside the home started when my education started.
I owe to you my emotions, my outspokeness.
I owe to you my heritage and my family tree.
Though limited in education, you taught me the higher learning of faith and love.
I am you in male form.
Heartaches of you not here, take me back and forth with myself.
So i go alone when alone, living life each day!
You loved me when i was wrong,
You loved me when i was right!
As your son, I find Joy in having you as a mother and a mom.
My thoughts of you make me smile and hope you live forever in .......Jehovah.
For I love you Ma, I love you and i miss you.
happy days from your son. To her whom traviled my entrance into the world.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
