to my mother

to my mother

I know I'll never talk to you,
No, never once again.
You've moved beyond my ability
to try and comprehend.
Do I sometimes hear your voice,
or always miss your face?
You took with you a  piece of me,
that can never be replaced.
You'll never the know the tears I cried
the moment that you left;
Or how they still swell up inside
any moment that I slip.
I keep a constant vigilance
for signs that you are near
how many long nights will i wait
for you to reappear.

my mother passed away in 2008. She believed in ghost and always told me if there was a way after she died she'd let me know....I still haven't heard from her

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
