    Time Act V

    Time
    passes slowly and whispers,
“You’re going to lose the game.”

    Run
to keep up with the masses,
“Your struggling is all in vain”

    Tears
    flowing freely down,
“Your fears will trap you in”

    Hide
    you’ve nowhere to run to,
    “You cannot hope to win”

    Death
    “It’s the only way out,”
or so you think to yourself

    Time
    your life’s in a bottle
That I place upon my shelf

    Time Eternal

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
