"Through the Ages of Time"
THROUGH THE AGES OF TIME
I am but a rock overlooking the sea.
I am ancient in wisdom, yet young may I be?
My view is magnificent through the ages of time.
I have seen anger and hatred,
yet love lingers sublime.
I yearn to reach out to all who are here;
standing listlessly upon me,
yet drowning in tears.
I look to the clouds to guide empty souls.
Through the mists of their heartaches,
the clouds ever roll.
They roll inward and onward
and never look back,
at the storms left behind
from the courage they lack.
Now is the time we will learn from our fear.
If we open our hearts, the sun will appear.
I am but a rock overlooking the sea.
For my pain found my wisdom,
yet I will never be free.
So come share your sorrow.
May I hold your hand?
Release all of your fear.
For on knowledge you stand.
You will learn from the rock overlooking the sea.
From your pain you will find wisdom.
You are finally free!
