The Winds of Change
The Winds of Change
(Deborah Taylor)
The winds of change come blowing in
they toss me here and there
I never know where I'll end up
but really, I don't care
Gypsy blood runs through these veins
it seems I can't stand still
Like the bee who robs the pollen
I never have my fill
Why can I not just be content
to travel this road I'm on
Why must I always seek anew
the tune of a brand new song
The winds of change come blowing in
they tempt me with each gale
They whisper of adventure
like a leaf caught up I sail
My life is one big whirlwind
there is so much left to see
When the winds of change come callin'
I shake these shackles free
Once again I feel that itch
and you know it must be scratched
I test the wind and test my wings
Free to fly at last
The winds of change come blowing in
they toss me here and there
I never know where I'll end up
But I love the journey there.
