The Unfortunate Truth
As I sit and stare out the window,
I see all the girls and boys keep passing by;
and all the grown-ups are old and tired by this time.
So they dont even try to stop,
the fighting and pillaging in the streets.
The kids just run and run on by.
They were born into this life
and this life is how they'll die.
Cause these girls and these boys are all going to live or die in ths life
and all we can do is watch in immense despair.
So I lie there in bed
and try to get some sleep,
but I always am awake
from all the screaming in the streets.
Cause these girls and these boys are all going to live or die in ths life
and all we can do is watch in immense despair.
I see all the girls and boys keep passing by;
and all the grown-ups are old and tired by this time.
