    The Thief In The Night

Walking on the red carpet grandeur of that five star hotel,
clutching my sons unruly arms close to my chest,
Watching the throng of people congregating, some aptly listening to some woven stories of this rich tapestry they call life
Some rapturously narrate moments treasured, some long gone...

Here you are out of nowhere, maybe behind my back,
You came blurting out --speaking candidly of what's on your mind, side comments on this and that....
Barely knew you, coming like that thief in the night!
You stole this inner sanctum of privacy long buried and now forgotten,
Outraged that this lone, solitary maiden finally opened up to this one unrelenting soul !

You are not some anthropologist--digging on the recesses of somebody's past
Go now, time has come past !
Bid this solitary wisp of a girl your final bow, maybe final adieu,

Though the heart rage, rage , rage of what might have become,
No you cannot subdue this oh so headstrong, willfull gal, no matter how cataclysmically broken is that young vulnerable heart

She will prevail, really prevail and conquer you who surreptiously pass like some thief in the night.....
