    The Sky

    In my eye the sky,
    Wide, wide open
    Mirror landscape of my soul.
    A big me, grand,
    Above it all,
    Home to birds and bees,
Rain, and falling leaves, swaying tops of trees.
    The wind, my wild companion
    blowing kisses, sometimes hisses
    ruffling feathers, loosening tethers
    True blue and changeable
    Elemental Me

    very nicely done

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
