    Poem Commentary

This was how I was feeling over a young lady but it's all gravy baby. Keep in mind the key word is was, not no mo doe I get around in a tented out fo doe. (For those who are eboniclly challaged, I am saying not anymore though I get around in a tented out four door, that is the car that a drive. LOL)

    The Saddest Joy

To be in love with someone you can never have,
Is like being happy but you can never laugh.
It's the tears of joy and of pain,
It's like the flower in the sun that can't live without rain.
It's like being the old wealthy man, who can buy anything but time,
It's like being afraid to live but very willing to die
This is the saddest joy, because I'm in love with someone I can't have.

I'm happy to be in love but sad because she doesn't love me,
I am like the beautiful dress worn by someone who is ugly.
I am a five star meal that is spilled on the floor,
I am a bird with the finest wings but I still can not soar.
I am the lonely man on top looking at the crowed bottom.
I am the most vibrant plant that must die when it is autumn.
This is the saddest joy, because I'm in love with someone I can never have.

aww this was sad and sweet! To be in love is a happy thing, but to not have that love returned stings. Very beautiful! It flows across the page and you put your audience there right beside you feeling what you feel! Good write

To have great poets there must be great audiences too.
