    The Ocean's Waves.

    The Ocean's Waves: 3/28/94.

    The ancient sea
    reposes silently,
    like a dog
    lapping up...
    water
    reclaiming
    the shore.
    The Moon's
    antediluvian
    rhythm,
    a mysterious
    melody!
    My mistress's
    heavy breathing,
    castin waves
    over the sandbar.

Very expressive, very emotive, a very pretty thought painting. The only thing is - I wish there was more. This is a very pretty little vignette but leaves me with the scent of the sea and the sound of the waves and the impression that there are living, breathing people present but it sort of stops too soon and leaves me very curious about what else might be revealed.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
