Poem Commentary

A poem inspired by the mysteries around the color purple. From ancient Greece and Roman's fables, to the strange stories associated with purple. The amazing color purple displayed in a parade through this rhetorical poem. May the reader walk away with new found respect for purple.

The Mysterious Royal Purple

I am a supreme writer of empurpled elaborate abitities,
hoping to express through an embellished purple passages,
using fables, ridiculous scribble, and composed validity.
Like a peacock spreading its magnificence plumage,
let me bestow my rainbow of colorful qualities.
With imperial persuasion and purples engage,
publish a poem worthy of print in the golden age.

Purple is a symbol of loyalty, ranking and prestige.
Tyrian purple made from murex a classic antiquity.
Roman emperors wore imperial robes colored purplish.
Alexander the Greats' style was tyrian purple embellished.
Only royalty and the wealthy wore purple because of scarcity.
A mosaic of JustinianI, in purple was made in the 6th century.
All royalty through the ages have worn purple, all monarchy'.

Amethyst, a purple gem, was highly valued in an array of variety's.
Superstitions from ages ago made the violet stones precious,
believing it would prevent intoxication. Souls delegated responsibilities.
Greeks and Romans carved wine goblets, taking the fable serious.
Regarded as a love charm, giving an amulet to receive love eternally.
Amethyst was considered a potent leverage in improving sleep."Frivolous."
The purple gem, amethyst, was protection againist thieves for the nobility.

The noble purple symbolizes a balance with redfire and bluewater, harmony.
Warmth of the red fire and the peace of the blue water shows loyalty.
The equilibrium and maturity of the color purple has always been a mystery.
Discovered in the Minoan Civilization, the coloratura's product is integrity.
Fable tells of the peacock using his tail to hide GOD in battle, so he made
                                                                                    him saintly.
Adorning him with all the colors of the rainbow, even gold and purple hues,
                                                                         making him virtuous.
Purple merits an excellent credit commendable godlike with ethical value and
                                                                                        morality.

In nature you view GODs' richness, through the purple, he adorns the
                                                                the flowers with flattery.
Tiny little purple violets, perfect in every way, he shows fondness
by keeping them in his teasury.
Men come along and try to claim his creation, GOD would like to see one
                                                                 make a flowers prosperity.
Pr.31:22 She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and
                                                                           purple."Tapestry."
GOD shows himself to his obedient children and those who love and fear
                                                                             him, in actuality.
Born to the purple, some have self-proclaimed, no self-contol, or self-denial,
                                                                                    not worthy.
I speculate the mystery of purple is it is GODs' color, that he attires all
                                                                                of his royalty in.
