The Glasses
The GlassesSam was given a tree, so with shovel in hand,
he uprooted the rubble while shooing a bee.
Three feet the shovel stopped,
with some pressure something popped.
Sam's hands began to dig, he's getting dirty as a pig.
Sam's reward a dingy -rusted-box,
he looks about sly as a fox.
Contents, Glasses!.
Sam tried them on & made some passes At his surroundings
spotted lasses, he removed the glasses with eyes on the lasses,
to his dismay the lasses were gone, he scanned the grasses but no lasses,
replacing the glasses, there in front of him were the lasses.
Sam knew he found something special in that old -rusted-box,
With an inkling, to the dog track Sam did go. He bet on a dog called Mac ,
with glasses on he scanned the result board, Mac # 7 won a real whole lot.
Years of cheating & greed Sam needed one more big deal, he put all his capital on this
last big deal
He'll own the world after this meal. Sam places the glasses just -so. Uncaring he Scans all he though he needed to know .
Sam unaware the glasses reverted to the past to upset the task, signed his name last.
That big deal was made last week by a man called Meek, loosing all he had, really made Sam mad.
Under ground about three feet the glasses lay for someone to meet.
