    The fabric of our lives

              The fabric of our lives
      The fabric of our lives is a pattern of
                  our being.
      The problems, obstacles, and test that
     we overcome in our lives become stiches
          that hold the materal together.
        With the strength of a good cloth
     and weave the fabric will not fray or
                     tear apart.
      Knowing everyone is not the same.
     There is one common thread that will
           hold  everything together.
          That is a blanket of love and
                  understanding.
    And what we learn in life may become
         a hand-me-down to our young.

    Yes, I have had to be very positive in my life. I had to grow up pretty fast to help my mother when my father passed away.

    When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
