THE DAY I FELL IN LOVE WITH MY SON

As the vehicle glide smoothly along the road way,
I glanced over at your chisled face, seeing for the first time the lines of age, and suddenly realizing that all youthfulness, now turned to handsomeness, you are now a grown man.

Then all hell broke loose emotions starting to go hay wire, why havent I felt this way before. I saw you as a son i never had, a brother i would have had, but never a lover that I know I can never have. How can this be fixed?, or how can we go back to normal, even though we have not crossed any lines..........yet.

Then I lie in bed and wonder what it feels like to be hugged, cuddled, and kissed by you. I guess I need something to wake me up to what will never be.....

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
