    Poem Commentary

Love is something so sweet and as tender as a rose, so what better way to describe the feelings of love than with a poem about the rose and all the beauty it holds

    The Color of a Rose

    Like the unconscious beauty

    Of the red rose,

    Your beauty does shine.

    The pink rose indicates

    You are graceful and gentle

And your soft sweet touch is far too kind.

    This fascination for you,

Is as bold as the orange rose’s glow,

As is the desire I have,

Just to hold you for a minute,

    If not for the day.

Then there is the yellow rose,

    Of friendship.

    Who’s beautiful and,

I hope she does pass your way.

The coral rose conveys the desire,

As I long just to embrace you for a day.

As so these roses do say,

    The meaning of a rose,

Is for only you to hold,

And for only you to say.

Great insight I was thinking THe Color of a Rose was hitting on that point then you lured me into what the subject entailed, I like the rhyme and imagery in this poem as well.

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
