    Poem Commentary

I wrote this at work when I was on lunch and I saw a co-work staring out of the stores front window.

    A Cold Winters Eve

Staring out of a store window,

    On a cold winter’s eve.

Wrapped in a world of illusion,

    Your eyes begin to stray.

Stray on what is, or maybe what was,

    Or even what

    ever may be.

    No answers are clear,

    But the many questions are.

    So there you will sit,

    And there you will stay.

All alone on this winter’s eve.

Staring out of a store window

    Hoping and wishing

That someone may pass your way.

    The sky is now darker,

    And you’re still sitting alone,

So you get up and you stretch your legs

You turn and walk slowly away,

    On this cold winter’s eve.

We all are lost and unsure of what the future holds and what our purpose is, where we go from here and what we are meant to do, I got all this from you, good write

Thank you connsk8. I just saw here and I felt what I thought was pain coming from her. She looked alone and sad.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
