The blade

The blade

I feel the coolness as i touch my skin to the blade,
It goes in easily as my thoughts slowly fade.
I can feel the stinging pain getting stronger,
I hold in all my tears until i cant take it any longer.
Soon drips of my salty tears are filling my eyes,
Now i cant help but to cry away my pride.
I start to slowly pull it out,
It hurts so much i want to shout.
I look at the bloody one,
Oh no what have i done?

a lot of strong feelings in this work.... I hope you work out the pain because you have a lot too gain in life... With your talent that I see in just this one I have read..... I think that you captured they way many feel and have felt in and about life... Great job .......

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
