    Telling The Tale

The girl wondered what its like to die
So one night she attempted suicide
    But she couldn't do it
She had to stop after a bit
Because right beside her layed a note
And the boy's careness covered her like a coat
She didn't know what to do
Because she never listened to you
    She hated her life
It was too full of strife
She was so scared of losing them
    That her hopes went dim
    She pushed them away
And they believed what she had to say
    She cut herself from others
And hid in her book covers
    She crys herself to sleep
Trying to hide the pain she must keep
    Her mouth must stay shut
So to control her pain she would cut
    But it had no effect
And it was one more thing on deck
    She couldn't stay strong
But to cry in front of them was wrong
She didn't know what to do
Shes different than me and you
The girl wanted so badly to die
That she thought of a different suicide
    Her depression made her sick
The illness was the slowest to kick
She got more and more sad
Her health was getting pretty bad
But then she talked to this boy
And she couldn't tell if he thought her a toy
She found comfort and safety around him
Suddenly her hopes didn't seem so dim
But then she got so scared
When he had her heart bared
She prayed he could love her
But how cold he was made her go burr
She didn't know what to do
He looked for another girl when with her too
When someone cared she liked it
But in the end she always got hurt a bit
    She should have died
    After a failed suicide
She got on myspace for a bit
    Not expecting anything from it
But then she saw she had a message
And decided to take a plunge
She had a friend far away
That listened to what she had to say
So she told her story of pain
And how she wasn't sure if she was sane
    With his love and kindness
He told her of what she had missed
He told her how much he cared
And for her had this dare
"Turn your back on being dead,
    And come to me instead."
    When she read that line
She knew it would forever bind
    So she waited a bit
    And then she answered it
    "I'll take that dare,
For as long as you care,
    I'll do my best,
And together we can work on the rest."
When she sent it her heart was racked
Because she knew she couldn't turn back
    She put the pills away
And didn't think of death another day
    She lived her life
And went to him whenever there was strife
    She wasn't as low
    If I do say so
He is her guardian angel to the end
But he is also her very best friend
Hes beside her no matter what
And never again would she cut
Finally she wrote down her tale
And with the wind in her sail
    She gave him a copy
    Apologing for it being sloppy
He read the story she had held so dear
And was glad that he was here
