    Tears

    My tears are cheap, there are so many.
    As common as a dirty penny. 

    It matters not what path I choose,
    Fight to the death, I still will lose.

    Extend a hand to pull it back.
    Love me for ten, then completely retract.

    My tears are cheap and of no worth.
    They salt this dismal, slow moving earth.

    I cry today, I cry tomorrow.
    If you could, give me a smile to borrow...

    For I don't know why I fly and fall...
    Perhaps I wasn't meant to fly at all.

    I love this poem because not only at times I can relate, but the honesty in the words. Flying is a state of mind. In your mind you can soar above the clouds and that's exactly what you did in this poem. Great write......E
