    Poem Commentary

This was written for my beautiful neice E.G.B. Who was adopted by my sister and her husband.

    Sweet Innocence

I see a little girl so sweet and innocent
Not knowing the horror of her past.
The father that was never there.
    The mother that never cared.
The family that didnt want her.
And the life she almost didn't have.

All she knows now is her future.
The Father that will never leave.
The mother that would do anything for her.
2 new brothers that truely adore her.
The family that will never let her go
And a life waiting for her to lead.

She has found her true family
A family where she holds the key
    to all their hearts.

Thank you. It is a very joyous occasion. She is such a sweet little girl. Its hard to believe all that she went through at such a young age.

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
