Summer Rose
Summer Rose
A Love of my own
A beauty that graced the sky
My summer rose
She was an angel that lit up the sky so bright
That the gods above could see my happiness
All she wanted was my soul
A soul filled with scars
My heart
A heart so cold and black
That no rainbow could brighten its gothic colors
She wanted to spend every once of air
Every minute of every hour
Every hour of everyday with me
She smiled the most beautiful smile
A smile that melted the pain away
Every time we kissed it felt like the skies opened for the very first time
Bringing hope to my soul
Her eyes were filled with love
But I could not see it
For I was bound to my miserable sadness
My walls blocked me from the world
She fought so hard to bring them down
But they made my rose lose her beautiful colors
Making her as dark as death
And made me trapped and alone
My summer rose loved thee so
But I could not love her
These walls forced my rose away from me
I was in love with my sadness and the darkness that surrounded me
It was because of my disease
That my summer rose is gone
