Stepping Stones

Seeing; Watching; wondering
Starting on the banks
Banks of dreams
Watching the River
Of life; flowing and changing
Fears; Thoughts of failing
Parents, friends, sisters, brothers
Support, love, cheering
Foundation to move forward
To take that first step
On to the first stone
Across the River

Focus in front
dont focus on failure
Not on falling
Don't fall back
Don't focus to far
Worrying about the 5th or 17th stones
Across the river, but the steps just in
front of you that next step

Always have the stream of worry upon you; Don't worry; Be strong
Encourage your thoughts
Dream your next step
from love, hope, Believe in yourself

Before your know it
Just focusing on your steps
Tose stones, You will look up
It will be one more step
Right back on to the banks of Reality and Achievement

Taking that step where all you done will add up
Filling your heart and soul.

Building a new future
On the river of life
take that challenge
fulfill your dreams
Within your heart
Your soul

Wounderful writting, your peom is a work of art. It gives hope and brightness to life of the present, to give brightness to a dark moment in ones moment of time. Thank you.

what an inspiring poem, I loved reading this. A lot of thought went into this piece. Thank you for sharing!

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
