    STAR CROSSED

TWO STAR CROSSED LOVERS AT AN IMPASS
    MANY OBSTACLES IN THEIR WAY
WHICH WAY TO GO? LEFT OR RIGHT?
THE CURVES AT TIMES TOO MUCH TO HANDLE
BOTH LOVERS HANG ON WITH ALL THE LOVE THEY HAVE
    THE IMPASS AT TIMES NARROWS
THE LOVERS PASS CAREFULLY WITH EACH PASSING MILE THEIR LOVE GROWS STRONGER
    THE OBSTACLES GETTING SMALLER
THEIR LOVE OVERPOWERS ALL THAT GETS IN THEIR WAY
EACH MILE PASSED THE THREAD GROWS STRONGER
WITH ALL THE LOVE THEY HAVE FOR THEY KNOW THAT NO IMPASS, OBSTACLE, OR CURVE WILL STOP THEM

Strong attraction! Determined lovers within these verses!

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
