    Stand

    Stand For Christ

    The Morals have gone,
    To where I don't know;
    Do we realize what's happened,
    And where did they go;

    Just look around you,
    They're no where to be seen;
    In your homes, and the street,
    And the movies on the screen;

    It doesn't bother us now,
    To hear the abomination they speak;
    Against the Lord our God,
    Each and every week;

    Why do we take this,
    And don't do anything;
    When we can't stand,
    For what we believe in;

    We need to take a stand,
    Against the ways of the day;
    And stand up for God,
    In each and every way;

    Stand with me now,
    We can make a plan;
    To defeat this world,
    And teach God to all man;

    Very true that morals are gone today. It is so spiritual and straightforward. You did a great job.

    Awesomely written poem. Very defined on "His" path + most of us are as you describe, that is sad Thanks for sharing.

    Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
