HERE I AM WITH NOTHING BUT YOU ON MY MIND

AS I GRUDGINGLY WALKIN MY DAILY GRIND

YOUR SWEET LIPS I HUNGER TO KISS

QUESTIONING MYSELF AS TO THE PASSION IVE MISSED

I SEEK TO SHARE MY LIFE IN YOUR ARMS

HOW CAN ONE MAN WITHSTAND SUCH CHARM

THE VOICE INSIDE SAY TAKE IT AS IT COMES

WONDERING TO MYSELF HOW IT ALL BEGUN

IM ASTONISHED AS TO HOW YOU HAVE EFFECT MY LIFE

BROUGHT ME OUT OF HEARTACHE AND STRIFE

RAGING WAR AGAINST THE EMOTIONS INSIDE

REALIZING IN ITSELF NEVER LEFT BEHIND

YOU ASK ME WHAT I WANT AND SEE

SIMPLY PUT JUST YOU BY ME

MY LIFE CHANGED THE MOMENT WE SPOKE

IT AS IF MY LIFE A DREAM NOW AWOKE

HERE I SIT WITH PEN IN HAND

FROM HERE ON BY YOU WHERE I STAND

i enjoyed your poem..i really connected with it

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
