    Spirit

The fight it stems from being right
From ego and that fear of night
I suggest to those both big and small
To pick a God that loves us all
There is no truth till some is made
But of this truth most are afraid
Is there a name that we can say
A word that's worth what man must pay
To stand behind belief in ghosts
And justify a hate that boasts
Of something someone said was true
The spirit has always been inside you.
Compassion is for my heart kind
And ignorance make eyes so blind
Free the self that has no thought
None can teach what they've not been taught
    Spirit we can only feel
It's not a question about what is real
You are the one perfected thing
That has always made the angels sing
    We can't hold on
    To much for long
    But we can sing out
    A spirit song
    And Love

nicely written was a pleasure to read p.s. my last name is phoenix lol

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
