    Specter of Love

    Specter of Love

There are few who've not heard, and many who could recite it,
the chapters and verses of a love unrequited,
and for each of them who've sung the hymn,
    but whose spirits remain undaunted,
    by such melodies and lyrics,
    some remain forever haunted.

jw, Those words ring so true in many lives, but the way you state it here allows the reader to reallly think abouthow difficult unrequited love can be. ginga

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
