    Soul Mate

Countint the days I have know you is short
Over and over each conversation takes us to our own resort
    Understanding you took much time
Like it does to make a bottle of fine wine
Do you ever wonder if our meeting was fate?

.....Could I have met my soul mate

I hear your voice, believing you were worth the wait

.....Could I have really met my soul mate

Having this connection between us isn't false, it's true
Allowing these chains on my heart to fall, gave me the first clue
Very big age difference from me to you
Every part of him accepts me, he say's I'm not too young to date

.....Could I have met my soul mate

My phone rings, I run like I'm running for the bus
Enjoying a slow sweet conversation with just us
Talking to you is enjoyed at any rate

.....Could I have met my soul mate

Mind not too creative, but I'm still going
Yes, writing about you always come out great

.....Could I have met my soul mate

Since we have met we have been stuck like glue
Over the years baby this can continue
Understanding how I feel is no longer an issue
Loving you is easy, there's nothing I could hate

.....Could I have met my soul mate

Moments spent thinking of your qualities make me say damn
All together your one hell of a man
Time tells all, but it will never tell us things will worsen
Even though we have never met in person.

thats deep, especially the ending because i have gotten very connected to someone that i have never met myself.also how much am i looking at for getting my own work made into a book. i wrote two books in 5 months but the Amry keeps me busy and i would like to know from someone whoe has been there what i am looking at getting myself into. Again , great poem, please check out my stuff. I would like some respones before I post anything else.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
