    • Cultures come to conquer and their gods applaud.

    sluggish

    how lonely the feet
    of lovers must be,
    all these years only
    knowing of fear
    and con sol ing
    each other,

    cause
    nothing means more
    than these all too
    familiar whispers
    and longing to hear
    them.

    how sleepy the lovers
    feet as they dream
    of not touching
    with lips the distance
    of kisses as sunlight
    arrives in the morning
    to open their tired
    eyes.

catarino, A simply beautifully crafted poem that speaks of that state that we all enter and descend from each evening and morn. I love the lovers feet references. Very dreamscape-like. ginga

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
