Siren

Begot A cataclysm Of Cascading Tide Arose
A Mist To Enshroud She Who Stood Beguiling Those
Who's Piercing Gaze Ogled Flaunted Illusion
Rendering All They Surmised In Confusion
Within A Tapestry Enchanted And Star Lit
Most Marvelous Soul, Graceful And Fit,
Sounded Percussion Rang As Fierce as Thunder
Entwined Her Orchestra, Choir, And Quartet, a Wonder
I Sat Upon Rocks Unseen Lining The Coast
She Danced The Mist And Silently I Offered A Toast

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
