Sing Me New
Sing to me.
you silent voices.
Raging waters, drown my calm.
Scented petals,
proem faces,
sing not troubles,
bring delights.
Deaf and mute
I stand before thee
crystalline your rhythms thrum.
Sing me not of death impending,
sing me peace,
rendering foresight.
Sing me new,
deep raw caresses,
of a lover's
moist lips on mine.
Not of corpses,
exploding trenches,
rotting stilled sons,
with Purple Hearts.
you silent voices.
Raging waters, drown my calm.
Scented petals,
proem faces,
sing not troubles,
bring delights.
Deaf and mute
I stand before thee
crystalline your rhythms thrum.
Sing me not of death impending,
sing me peace,
rendering foresight.
Sing me new,
deep raw caresses,
of a lover's
moist lips on mine.
Not of corpses,
exploding trenches,
rotting stilled sons,
with Purple Hearts.
