    Silent Song

    Silent Song
    (by GDMartin
    Message to "Her", about "Him")

    He leaves this place a fractured soul,
    without your touch, nor kiss_
    You've come to bid him 'bye, although
    two hearts had gone amiss.
    The engine breaks the quiet night,
    his tug boat leaves from shore.
    He strains to keep you in his sight;
    alas, he sees no more.

    Now deep at sea, he dreams of home,
    where vows were poured like wine,
    with all the perfect plans you'd made
    gone sour before their time.
    The part of him you did not know
    hid tears best labeled pride.
    He pled for you to not let go;
    that's when you left his side.

    Swift sailing to a stormy quest,
    from endless love he gave,
    the prow now points to distant shores,
    and skims each churning wave.
    The silent song that starry skies
    breathe softly o'er the sea
    now seem to whisper, "You'll get by...",
    in silent song to me.

    Very nice, you write a lot like I do. I really enjoyed this poem. It makes feel that you lost someone you truely loved.
