    Shielded Heart

I feel your hurt and your pain,
From your past but never complain.
This makes me sad and makes me blue,
All this pain I feel from you.

People are different in many ways,
But do they stop to think what they say?
Words can kill a person in an instant,
But my love grows for you every second.

If I could take away all your grief,
I would just to give you some relief.
You don’t know how special you are,
    Even though we’re miles apart.

I love you more and more each day,
In this romance I want to stay.
I know my words don’t come out right,
But I want to keep you in my life.

I hope this poem touches your heart,
And makes you feel a little spark.
When you read this know it is real,
For I love you and always will.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
