    She Walked

    She walked

When they talked his words filled her heart, mind, body, and soul.
He showed her places she never thought she would go.
He creped in and filled her with love she will never really know.

    She walked

He is perfection without a hint of doubt.
    His love she almost embraced
Only she knew it would be a curse without cure.

    She walked

    She is the predator
    He is the prey
She don’t know why she refuses
It’s only his love she abuses

    She walked

She will live with regret and sorrow
He will shine like a star
She will love him forever from afar

    She walked

She’s lived a life hard and true
She knows he deserves so much more
He’ll never know how he filled her soul
For a brief moment she almost succumbed
    She feels weak and vulnerable

    She walked

In life, love is all he’s ever known
In life, pain is all she’s ever given or received
    Staying true….She walked

    Thank you! :)

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.

    Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) American poet.
