    Separation

Stay now that its behind us
Linger for awhile till the sun shines
Make this lasting kiss shimmer in sweetness and delight
I'd give anything for all those mistakes and sorrows
If I could make those go away .The ghosts that still lives between us
The ghosts that separates us. I could not live without this
I could not live without us.
For I want to live in goodness and the blessings of light.
Never mentioning of a bleak future, nor of shadowy pasts
I want to mention only you and I in dreams and wakeful daylights
ever ebbing and flowing between these transitory states
of Love, of living togetherness imprisoned
by our same sex, differing circumstances
You as independent and positively outward forward looking
Me ever as negative and dependent for inward self pitying introspections.

This is a beautiful poem. Well written free verse that was easy to read because of attention to detail.I found the mood of the poem pensive but hopeful.

Thanks so much..that means so much to me.

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.

    T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
