    SACRIFICE

You came into my life like a thief in the night, you
stole my heart I knew I was in trouble from
the start. One thing led to another
so many sacrifices we weren't willing
to make. I see you see something
in my heart tells me we weren't
meant to be. I call you up so eager
to hear your voice, remembering what
you said, wishing for more, not sure
of what I was doing. Seeing you
holding you thinking why am I here?
Look with your eyes and not with
your heart, see what you feel, was it
ever really real? You played me for
a fool, I followed you, believed you
even wished I was with you, you came
on so strong, even gave you a song.
Spent so many lonely nights without
you. All I can do now is thank
you for making me see, all I really
    needed was already deep inside
    of me.

This was a very good poem I liked the flow and the message was well played out I enjoyed each and every word welcome Robert...

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
