Rise, My Child, To The Sound Of Trumpets

rise, my child, to the sound of trumpets
    hear billions of angels sing
come to my thrown and receive your reward
for the many souls that you bring

there were times when the devil had you under attack
but i caught you every time you would fall
and jesus has crushed the head of the serpent
now he can do nothing to you at all

i know your work was tiresome
when you grew weary i held you up
but it was nothing compared to the sins of the world
christ became when he drank from his cup
