    Reoccurring Familiarity

    A reoccurring thought,
    a familiarity yet reacquainted.
    Reliving a dream,
the dream of lust that once haunted me.
    Ive seen her before,
acted too late before the door closed.
Lost was she from my grasp,
gone to the memories of times past.
    She's been around,
from time to time I'm tortured with her presence.
    Containment was all,
could only hold back that which was nature.
    A reoccurring thought,
    a familiarity yet reacquainted.
    Again we meet,
this is the time I hope to break free.

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

    T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
