Reality Check

reality check:
I'm sitting on the flagstone deck
cloistered by wetland woods
the temperature ~ a comfortable 72
refreshful breezes blow
cheery bird songs scent the air
the sky is blue beyond the clouds up there
I'm sipping Simply lemonade
the hummingbirds sip the syrup I made
my eyes drink in iridescent colours
as my fingers

Sounds like your having a nice day there. I like to watch the hummingbirds too. They are amazing. And could you send some of the lemonade my way. :)

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
