Re-inventingmyself
Im just a young girl trying to have a blast.
Re-invent myself and forget my past.
Out to find love, money, and laughs.
I dont want any drama, I stay away from all that.
I live a little and fuck up a lot.
The scars that I've earned are all that I've got.
A lesson learned is a lesson taught.
Many times I've been burned, yet wise I am not.
I give my love and respect to everyone else,
until theres not enough left to give to myself.
I sleep alone, some times I like to melt
into a sad poem and feel what the writer felt.
It's a form of escape.
Something to relate to the love and hate
that was shoved in my weathered face.
There's a lot on my plate
and I'm going to lick it clean.
Most people deal with their mistakes
by sucking back some nicotine.
I'm a little different.
I scribble mine onto a page
and dance with the demons that fiddle with my rage.
Theres ink on my skin to symbolize my darker days.
A permanent reminder of the inner wars I've waged.
I'm still here and Im doing just fine.
In fact, I couldnt be having a better time.
I'm just trying to live a little, and laugh even more.
Forget the past "what does the future have in store?"
