Dig deep, dig shallow what will you find?

Thoughts tumbling, twisting endless shifting –
What does it all mean?

Kaleidoscope of yesterdays –
Hazy, shadows and dim instant replays.
Moments better left alone –
Pictures of times long past, people dead and gone.

Slipping, sliding, and losing your grasp in an instant.
You’re lost to the past mind spinning – going too fast.
Slow down – take a deep breath ---
Easy does it – exhale—what’s next.

Sit up turn on the light…
Grab a book --- get set for another sleepless night.
Alternate suggestion: If you will –
Grab a glass of water –and take a pill.
Let it work its magic.

Get peaceful, be still.
Still those thoughts running through your mind;
Think now only on current times –
Not tomorrow or yesterday
Just now this moment come what may.
