    Rambler

traveling all alone down this long and lonesome highway
don't know where i've been don't know where i'm going
i just wanna be free and run my own life
i don't wanna settle down and be some mans wife
cause i'm a rambler and that's what i wanna be
i'm a rambler with no room for company
    i'm a rambler and that's what i'll always be
i know i'm a woman but that don't always mean
that you have to run a home and cook and sew and clean
i was meant to roam the land and go from town to town
and there's no one in this whole world gonna make me settle down
cause i'm a rambler and that's what i'll always be

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
