Rainbows In My Kitchen

A rainbow is God's symbol of His promise to mankind
That at the rainbow's end God's love is what you'll find
The colors of the rainbow majestically appear
After the storm has passed to calm our every fear

The sun shining through a glass prism each day
Brings forth another promise to chase the storm away
As the colors of the rainbow dance upon the wall
God's never ending love reaches out to us all

Trust me is His cry, cast your burdens onto me
For I am strong when you are weak and more able than thee
I'll accomplish what concerns you today and every day
When you lean on me completely my love will light your way

So now when I am sad or blue
I gaze upon a rainbow's hue
Dancing on my kitchen wall
Catching me when I fall
Reminding me that God's love is true
A promise made to me and you

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
