    "This Time" By: Rob Claus

This time I'll have to search deep down inside
Myself, to find what's hard for any man to find
A youngster, so many big ideas & full of hope
And lost youth, that was robbed of innocent growth

This time everything will have to be changed
My way of thinking, my planning, my fast living ways
For somewhere in my past, so long, long ago
A wrong choice was made, creating the first of many blows

This time I'll find a love that won't end
And learn from loves that were lost, it's time to forgive
For this time she'll stand so very far from the rest
Someone so special & different from lovers in my past

This time I'll have friends to help me with my regrets
Help live my life to it's fullest & always be at my best
You see, strong foundations form through family, friends & love
So from the strength of my foundations, I'll forever rise above

This time it's real, I finally have a plan
After years of enduring loss, now I comprehend
I was wearing the shoes to who I was yesterday
This time I'll tie them & be a better man today

Beautiful writing. This is the first time reading your work and I must say I'm impressed. Keep writing and I will keep reading.

To have great poets there must be great audiences too.
