    "This Night"

    On a clear winters night when the cold wind blows;
    The snow begins to glisten, sparkle, and glow.
    This night is for lovers to snuggle up tight;
    To keep each other warm throughout the night.
    The candles are flickering the music is low;
    For this may be the night for their love to grow.
    Romance and ecstasy is all around in the air;
    For there is so much for lovers to share.
    The good times and bad times don't really count;
    For this is the moment that it’s all about.
    So let each other know just how much you care;
    Then your hopes and dreams will always be shared.

    When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
