    "MY LOVER"

    As the sun's morning light,
    Creeps slowly over the horizon,
    And the birds begin to sing,
    I awaken each morning,
    My first thoughts of You;

    And as the sun slowly rises,
    Up threw the sky like fire,
    It's heat beats down upon Me,
    With an unwanted desire;

    And yet I find it's very easy,
    To keep You on My mind,
    And whether clothed or naked,
    You always look so fine;

    And as the sun retires,
    Yet another day gone bye,
    I'll fall asleep once more,
    With You on My mind!

    Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

    T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
