    "LITTLE DEATH"

    The soft sounds of music,
    Her shortened breath,
A cry of passion upon his
    Manly chest,
    A weeping that is joy,
    None the less

    As his lover falls victim,
    to her little death.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
